BATTLE OF THE GIANTS HISTORY

We're excited to celebrate 34 years of the Battle of the Giants (BOTG) All Styles Dance Sport Festival at Sun City this year (2025)!

Since 1999, this prestigious dance competition has taken place at the iconic Superbowl of the Sun City Resort, witnessing significant growth in participant numbers, dance, and diverse dance styles.

BOTG has established itself as one of Africa's most renowned international dance competitions. The event has been a launching pad for many of South Africa's leading dancers, teachers, trainers, choreographers, and judges. Additionally, it provided training scholarships to selected representatives, enhancing their careers both locally and internationally.

Over the years, BOTG has welcomed numerous international guests and continues to foster connections with global representation. Bev and her organizing team have been pivotal in hosting events like the IDO Commonwealth Cup, IDO World Cup, and the inaugural IDO African Championships - Battle of the Giants 2025 in partnership with the IDO.
